VISOR (Victim Information System in Oregon)
If you want to receive automatic updates when an adult inmateor juvenile in OYA custody has a change in custody stats you can register with VISOR (Victim Information System in Oregon).
VISOR is a free, online service that lets you:
- Check the custody status of a person in a county or state facility or check to see if a person is on probation or parole
- Sign up for automatic notifications by phone, text, email or TTY when an individual in custody is released or transferred
The VISOR website provides basic custody information and guides you through the free registration process.
How to Register
If you cannot register online, you can:
- Email: visor@doc.oregon.gov
- Call: 888-749-8080 and leave a voicemail. A VISOR staff member will return your call to complete your registration.
Creating an account is optional. You can register for notification without creating an account. If you create an account you can:
- View recent notifications
- Choose how you receive alerts (phone, text, or email)
- Update your contact information
- Unregister from notifications
Important VISOR Facts
- VISOR sends alerts when the person you registered for is transferred, deceased, advanced release (notification prior to release), release from custody, legal name change, escape, recapture, and return to custody.
- Your registration and personal information are confidential.
- You may register multiple phone numbers and/or email addresses.
Already registered with VINE?
If you previously signed up for inmate notifications through the VINE system, your information has already been transferred to VISOR. You do not need to re-register.
