Village Green Park planting
Join Friends of Trees and the City of Happy Valley to plant hundreds of pollinator-friendly native plants creating a pollinator garden at Village Green Park! These plants will help create valuable habitat for native pollinators and provide seasonal beauty for park go-ers.
Please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 9:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and hot drinks -- all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun!
Windswept Waters Natural Area planting
Tree-planting help needed near the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clackamas River! Friends of Trees is partnering with the Windswept Waters HOA to enhance this important natural area in Happy Valley.

Spring Mountain planting
Help plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs along Mt. Scott Creek at this annual event in partnership with Friends of Trees and the North Clackamas Watershed Council.

Thanksgiving Ivy Removal & Tree Saving
Give thanks to native plants and save trees from invasive English ivy! Join the Clackamas River Basin Council and help control these weedy vines that threaten the health of our trees. When left unchecked, the invasive English ivy climbs tree trunks and can lead to tree mortality. Ivy weighs down trees, shades out sunlight, and can create a sail effect during windstorms causing trees to fall.
This work party will work to save large trees along the Clackamas River near the Water Environment Services Tri-City Water Resource Recovery Facility.
