Join our dynamic team dedicated to enhancing our community's outdoor experiences while enjoying the beauty of nature! We’re filling multiple full-time positions for the summer season to protect and maintain our County Parks.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Park Maintenance Assistant

Clean up county parks alongside our Park Rangers and earn a free one-year parking pass after volunteering 50 hours, and two free nights* of camping after 100 hours for your effort! We match your skills, interests, and availability with needed tasks at our 16 parks such as picking up litter, removing invasive species, basic grounds keeping, trail maintenance, mowing, and weed eating. 

Volunteers will be provided with gear and free parking while volunteering. Your volunteer supervisor will discuss maintenance tasks with you before scheduling onsite work to determine whether any modifications are necessary, depending on your abilities and comfort level.

Volunteer Park Host at Barton, Feyrer, Hebb, and Metzler Parks

We accept applications for Volunteer Park Hosts year-round. Park Hosts greet and inform campers, answer phones, collect fees, sell firewood and ice, and help staff care for the park in exchange for a full RV hookup site and use of laundry facilities. Park hosts live on-site for 1-3 months (depending on experience), May through September. Some hosts stay on over the winter months to help with park maintenance projects. Hosts serve customers at Barton, Feyrer, Hebb, and Metzler Parks.
