Rainbow Road (Eagle Creek) bridge scour repairs

Repairing erosion along the southern bridge support and embankment 

During a routine bridge inspection, erosion was found at the southern support structure and along the slope near the Rainbow Road Bridge over Eagle Creek. We will repair the southern bridge support by installing large boulders and planting native vegetation. 

Why

To repair erosion on the southern bridge supports.

Schedule

Work in the stream is required to be done between July 15-Aug. 31, 2025 to protect waterway species in Eagle Creek. Further details will be provided as they are known.  

• Design: April 2024 to Dec. 2024
• Construction: Summer 2025 

Traffic impact

Expect lane closures with delays up to 20 minutes. Work is expected to take one week to complete.
