Public interviews, deliberation set for May 19

Five candidates have been selected for further consideration to fill the open seat on the Board of County Commissioners (Position 4).

Fifty-nine candidates applied for the vacancy during a recruitment that closed April 9.

Commissioners selected the five finalists:

  • Tom Ellis, Mayor of Happy Valley
  • Jeff Gudman, former Lake Oswego City Councilor
  • Diana Helm, former Mayor of Damascus
  • Christine Lewis, Metro Councilor
  • Jackie Manz, former Lake Oswego City Councilor

The remaining five candidates will interview before the board on Monday, May 19, in the Commission Hearing Room, fourth floor of the Public Services Building, 2051 Kaen Road in Oregon City. This will be followed by a deliberation, where the Board is expected to make a decision. Please note this is a change from the earlier schedule.

The interviews and deliberation will be televised live on the Clackamas County Government Channel and streamed on the county’s YouTube channel. This meeting is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend. No public comment will be taken at this meeting.
