The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning this morning through 4 p.m. Dec. 27 for a large portion of Clackamas County. People in the county should expect south winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts 55 to 65 mph. Currently, thousands of customers in Clackamas County are without power.
Here is some information to keep you safe during the storm. If you need additional assistance, please call 211. Do not call 9-1-1 unless there is an immediate life-safety threat.
Reporting power outages
If you are experiencing a power outage, please contact your utility provider.
Contact Portland General Electric to report an outage at www.portlandgeneral.com/outages or at 503-464-7777.
In the Canby area, contact Canby Utility at 503-266-1156
Do not call 9-1-1 to report power outages. Only call 9-1-1 for life-safety information.

If you are experiencing a power outage, PGE has helpful resources and information.
Generators and alternative heating sources
If you are experiencing a power outage, do not use generators, barbecues or other heating sources met for the outside indoors. This can result in death or serious injury.
Reporting road concerns
If there is an issue on county roads such as flooding or downed trees, please contact County Roads at 503-557-6391 during business ours Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. After hours contact, 503-655-8211.
Flooding
The county is currently monitoring river levels and flooding risks. If you find yourself in a flood warning zone or see flooding:
- Find safe shelter right away.
- Do not walk, swim or drive through flood waters. Turn Around, Don’t Drown!
- Remember, just six inches of moving water can knock you down, and one foot of moving water can sweep your vehicle away.
- Stay off bridges over fast-moving water.
