McKelvey has a long history of identity theft with numerous felony convictions going back more than 20 years.

On May 23, 2022, Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to make contact with the driver of a BMW. The vehicle had no license plates or a visible temporary permit.

When officers tried to stop the BMW, driven by McKelvey, he accelerated to speeds nearing 90 miles an hour.

The officers terminated their pursuit as McKelvey sped on, colliding with another car near the intersection of Southeast Oatfield Road and Southeast Glen Echo Avenue.

McKelvey fled on foot and was captured nearby. The driver of the other car was seriously injured and spent two weeks in the hospital.

McKelvey pleaded no contest to Assault in the Third Degree and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. Clackamas County Deputy District Attorney Ryan Chiotti prosecuted the case.

On August 7, 2024 at around 3 a.m., Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a suspicious person call at Fantasyland, an adult entertainment business on Southeast 82nd Avenue.

Deputies found McKelvey hiding in a backroom. He provided deputies with photo identification that belonged to someone else.

Deputies found a card with McKelvey’s true identification — along with bank cards, a PayPal debit card, an Oregon driver’s license and identification cards belonging to other people — in a garbage can.

McKelvey pleaded guilty to one count of Aggravated Identity Theft. Five counts of Identity Theft were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

McKelvey faces charges of Aggravated Identity Theft and Identity Theft in two Washington County Circuit Court cases.
