A Salem man accused of the New Year’s Eve murder of Catherine Grace Cross was arraigned Wednesday in Clackamas County Circuit Court.
Jason David Perillo, 51, is charged with Murder in the First Degree, Murder in the Second Degree and Robbery in the First Degree.
Cross, 41, was found dead inside a recreational vehicle in Wilsonville on Dec. 31, 2024. Her death was ruled a homicide. Crosse, who lived in the recreational vehicle, allegedly was stabbed to death.
Investigators determined the suspect and the victim were acquaintances. A surveillance video aided Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office detectives in identifying Perillo.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Wilsonville Police Department, arrested Perillo in Salem on Feb. 7.
Perillo is being held without bail in the Clackamas County Jail. The case will be scheduled for a status conference and trial.
The penalty for Murder in the First Degree can be a true-life sentence. The penalty for Murder in the Second Degree is a life sentence with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
