Voter turnout hits an estimated 71% for the November 5, 2024 General Election
On-time ballots continue to be received, processed, and counted.
Oregon City, OR – As of Tuesday night, voter turnout hit an estimated 71% for the November 5, 2024 General Election. Clackamas County Elections received an estimated 45,000 ballots on Election Day, bringing the total to an estimated 228,000 ballots received for this election.
As of the third unofficial election results release on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 10:55 p.m., Clackamas County Elections had tallied 153,093 ballots.
Unofficial election results and the election results release schedule are posted online at clackamas.us/elections/november-5-2024-general-election. Unofficial election results will be released today, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. and will be again tomorrow, Nov. 7 and Friday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m.
Clerk Catherine McMullen has a full team of sworn election staff working through the week until all ballots have been processed and tallied. Final official results will be certified Dec 2.
Track Your Ballot Updates
As ballots are received and signature verification completed, Track Your Ballot notifications to voters are also being sent out multiple times a day. It can take 2 to 3 business days for voters to receive a ballot accepted notification for ballots returned to Official Ballot Drop Sites in the county. Ballots returned by mail or to Official Ballot Drop Sites in other counties take longer to arrive to the elections office before signature verification by elections staff. More than 54,700 voters (17%) have signed up for Track Your ballot to date. Voters can sign up at clackamas.us/elections/track-your-ballot to use the service in the next election.
County Clerk Catherine McMullen will continue to provide daily media updates at 2 p.m. via Zoom, addressing any election-related inquiries. Media representatives may register by emailing PIO@clackamas.us.
