Clackamas County Clerk and Elections Taking Every Precaution at Official Ballot Drop Sites

Official Ballot Drop Site

Oregon City, OR – Clackamas County Clerk and Elections are taking every precaution at the 26 Official Ballot Drop Sites located in communities across Clackamas County. Safety and security precautions include daily ballot pick up by sworn election workers, increased surveillance of each location, secure design and installation of each drop site, and fire suppressants inside every drop site.

We ask that if members of the public see any suspicious activity around any ballot box to call 9-1-1 immediately.

"Voter access and ballot security are top priorities here in Clackamas County and across Oregon. We have multiple systems and security measures in place and are working closely with our local law enforcement partners to maintain safe access to drop sites to ensure that all eligible voters can exercise their rights safely and freely." Clerk Catherine McMullen stated.

Official Ballot Drop Sites are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week until 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 5. Voters can find their nearest Official Ballot Drop Site online at clackamas.us/elections/official-ballot-drop-sites. Ballots must be mailed back with a valid postmark or returned to an Official Ballot Drop Site by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 5, 2024. No postage is needed. We recommend mailing your ballot back no later than Friday, Nov. 1 to ensure it arrives on time. Return your ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site after that date.

Clackamas County voters are also encouraged to sign up for Track Your Ballot, a service which allows you to receive a text, phone or email alerts when their ballot has been mailed out and when it’s been received and accepted for counting. Sign up at clackamas.us/elections/track-your-ballot
