Clackamas County Clerk staff awarded Oregon Association of County Clerks (OACC) professional certification.
Oregon City, OR – The Clackamas County Clerk and five staff members were awarded professional certification Aug. 14 at the Oregon Association of County Clerks Annual Conference and Training in Clatsop County.
Clackamas County Clerk, Catherine McMullen shared that earning this recognition from our state professional association requires years of on-the-job experience and technical training.
“I am proud of my staff and impressed with their dedication to continued professional education and serving Clackamas County residents with the most up-to-date practices and tools,” stated Clerk McMullen
The OACC Certification Program has been in place since 1991 and encourages county clerks and recording and election officials to continue their education and professional growth in their careers. Certifications are earned through a combination of years of experience, participation in training opportunities, and involvement in the professional organization. Certifications are awarded once a year, with six of the thirteen certifications in the state going to Clackamas County in 2024. Employees receiving certification include:
- Mea Anders, Certified Elections Administrator (CEA)
- Tiffany Clark, Certified Elections Administrator (CEA)
- Justin Larsen, Certified Elections Administrator (CEA)
- Michael Newgard, Certified Elections Administrator (CEA) and Certified Recording Administrator (CRA)
- Tiffany Staten, Certified Elections Administrator (CEA) and Certified Recording Administrator (CRA)
- Catherine McMullen, Certified County Clerk (CCC)
