OREGON CITY, Or. — Clackamas County Deputy District Attorney Tiffany Escover was named the 2023 DUII Prosecutor of the Year by the Oregon DUII Multi-Disciplinary Training Task Force.
This award is presented to a city, county, or state prosecutor involved in supervising or in the actual prosecution of offenders of driving under the influence of intoxicants. The person may be a leader in their jurisdiction in providing prosecution guidance, training, or leadership in deterring DUII through effective prosecution efforts.
“I am deeply honored to have been selected to receive this award,” Escover said. “It represents not only a personal achievement, but the collective efforts of a dedicated and supportive team. It is a tremendous privilege to be able to utilize my skills to promote public safety within the same community I call home and further the effort to make Clackamas County the safest place to live, work and enjoy.”
Escover, who has worked in the Clackamas County DA's office for nearly four years, serves as the DUII Court Prosecutor in the District Attorney's office. She observes participants as they navigate through treatment and chart their path to recovery. She said witnessing individuals liberate themselves from the clutches of addiction and regain control over their lives is remarkable, and she takes pride in being a contributing member of this transformative process.
Clackamas County District Attorney John Wentworth is proud of the work Escover has done and said her work, along with the work done by the entire district attorney's office, makes Clackamas County a safer place.
“Tiffany is a true professional and does an amazing job each and every day for not only our office, but for the residents of Clackamas County,” Wentworth said. “We know the work she does not only makes a positive impact in the lives of offenders, but it contributes greatly to the health and wellness of our community.”
Escover is the latest Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office employee to win an award for their work. Deputy District Attorney Chelsea Jones received the 2019 DUII Prosecutor of the Year award before fellow deputy district attorney Alex Hayes was named the Wildlife Prosecutor of the Year in 2022 by the Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division.
