NCPRD logoJenning Lodge, OR – North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District and Oregon City School District invite residents to attend an Open House on Thursday, Jan. 18 from 5-7 p.m. to review designs for the new park at the Jennings Lodge Campus.

The nearly 2-acre open space surrounding the school is currently underutilized, and there is a shared desire by the school and park districts to develop a new park for students and families in the area. This partnership would provide recreational amenities and community spaces to meet the needs of residents across both districts.

Community engagement is a vital part of the design process for the new neighborhood park. Following the first open house and survey in September, the community input was used to inform and shape two design concepts for the new park at the Jennings Lodge Campus. Now, it is time for the community to look at those designs and share their feedback and preferences.

The open house on Jan. 18 will be held indoors in the gym, at the Jennings Lodge Campus (18521 S.E. River Rd., Milwaukie). This family-friendly event includes pizza and kids' activities, and attendees are invited to drop by anytime. For those who are unable to attend, an online open house and survey will be available from Jan. 18 through Feb. 2. More about the project is available at ncprd.com/jennings-park-project.

North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District is a service district of Clackamas County dedicated to providing exceptional parks and recreation programs, facilities and services. Voters approved the formation of the district in 1990 because they saw the need for greater parks and recreation services in the north end of the county. The district – which serves more than 105,000 residents in a 27-square mile area – includes Milwaukie and a large area of unincorporated Clackamas County. NCPRD's mission is to enrich community vitality and promote healthy living through parks and recreation.
