Join Clackamas County WIC at the Oregon City Farmers’ Market on Saturday, Aug. 5 to pick up and spend your WIC fruit and veggie checks. The farmers’ market runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is located at 2051 Kaen Rd, Oregon City, in the parking lot of the county’s Red Soils campus.
With the fruit and veggie program, WIC participants can get $28 in checks to buy locally grown fruits, vegetables or cut herbs from participating farmers’ markets between now and Nov. 30.
- You must be enrolled in Clackamas County WIC.
- WIC cardholders will need ID to pick up their checks.
Saturday, Aug. 5 is your last chance to pick up your WIC fruit and veggie checks in person.
The Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides supplemental foods, referrals and nutrition education for lower-income pregnant people, women who have given birth in the last year, and infants/children up to age 5.
