Clackamas County Elections will be open late on Tuesday, April 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. for voters that need assistance with their voter registration.

If you are already registered to vote, take a moment to check that your address and name are up to date. Update at OregonVotes.gov or with an Oregon Voter Registration Card. If you will be away from home during the election, you can request an absentee ballot online.

The May 16, 2023 Special District Election is a countywide election and every eligible voter will receive a ballot. This election includes contests for positions on local school boards, community colleges, education service districts, fire districts, water districts, and other special districts. There are also city offices and district levy and bond measures for voters in some jurisdictions. Where you live determines what districts, measures, and contests are on your ballot.

Look for your Clackamas County Voters’ Pamphlet to arrive at your home this week. This helpful tool includes information about candidates and measures on your ballot, a voter registration form, a list of official ballot drop sites in the county, and how to access voter information in languages other than English.

Public logic and accuracy tests will be held May 1 at 9 a.m., May 16 at 9 a.m., and June 8 at 2 p.m. A logic and accuracy test is the process used to validate that the optical ballot scanners are tabulating votes accurately. Election officials are required to test the voting machines three times for each election – twice before the election and again after all the ballots are counted. The public is welcome to observe this process.

Further information about the election can be found on the county’s May 16, 2023 Special District Election webpage.
