The following is a joint statement from County Chair Jim Bernard and Sheriff Craig Roberts about the release of an outside report into policies and practices at Clackamas County Sheriff’s office.
“Today, the Board of County Commissioners agreed to release a report by OIR Group into policies and practices at the Clackamas County Sheriff’s office.
The report is comprehensive and extensive. Commissioners are publicly releasing the report consistent with our promise last September, when the report was commissioned, of complete transparency in this process.
The Sheriff’s Office states it will review the OIR report when it receives it with the goal of strengthening the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office through its policies and improving its ability to serve the citizens of Clackamas County.
