The Northwest Peer Support Conference -- hosted by the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon Law Enforcement Memorial Trust Fund -- is a bi-annual training designed to educate members of public-safety peer-support teams in a variety of crisis-related issues.
The conference also provides guidance for those interested in starting a peer-support team and clinicians interested in working with our population.
Attendees include public-safety employees, first responders, clergy, mental-health professionals, spouses and partners involved in the emergency-responder community.
Our theme, “Serving Those Who Serve,” reminds us to promote the health and well-being of our emergency responder communities by providing confidential support and assistance to our peers and their families when they are experiencing emotional distress due to critical work-related or personal events.
