The Property Crimes Unit investigates property crimes including burglary, stolen vehicles, theft, organized retail theft, fraud, embezzlement, financial exploitation of elders, and arson, among other crimes.
The Property Crimes Unit also enforces the Clackamas County's pawn/second-hand property ordinance.
This unit works closely with neighboring police agencies. They are often called to assist with search warrants and investigations with drug crimes -- as property and drug crimes are often closely related.
