The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify the suspect in a non-injury shooting in unincorporated Clackamas County on July 30, 2024.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, two men were in the southeast corner of the parking lot of the JC Penney located at 12300 SE 82nd Ave in unincorporated Clackamas County, waiting near the entrance to the Green Line MAX platform.

A thin white male with curly hair appearing to be in his early 20s — wearing a gray hoodie, gray pants, and black shoes — exited a nearby older-model black 2-door Cadillac sedan, occupied by what appeared to be two heavyset African-American subjects. The suspect then produced a pistol and shot at the two men from approximately 20 yards away. No one was injured. The suspect and the two men did not know each other.

The suspect ran back to the Cadillac and fled the scene as a passenger in the vehicle. The vehicle left south towards SE Sunnyside Road.

A forensic sketch of the shooting suspect and a photo of the suspect vehicle are linked above.

Investigators urge anyone who can help identify the suspect to contact the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 503-723-4949 or by using the online form. Please reference CCSO Case # 24-015726.
