Sheriff’s Office investigating fatal auto-pedestrian crash

Around 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a vehicle striking two pedestrians on SE Lusted Road near SE Dodge Park in unincorporated Clackamas County.

When deputies arrived, they found two pedestrians had been stuck by a 2012 Subaru Forester. Tragically, the two pedestrians, 81-year-old Larry Glenn Brenner and his 41-year-old son, Jonathan Michael Brenner, both from Boring, died at the scene. The driver of the Subaru, 74-year-old David James Robyler from Sandy, remained at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office inter-agency Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) team responded to the location. Investigators are working to determine whether impairment was a factor.  The crash remains under investigation.
