On Thursday, July 18, 2024, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office conducted a targeted retail crime operation at the Clackamas Promenade, including Kohl’s, Old Navy, and Target on SE Sunnyside Rd.

Working closely with loss prevention and asset protection teams from the retailers, the ten-hour operation resulted in the arrest of 24 people, the clearance of 12 arrest warrants, and the recovery of more than $3,300 worth of stolen merchandise.

During the mission, several people were identified as committing theft with other suspects, including one suspect working with two other females while pushing a baby in a stroller. Investigators believe multiple suspects are selling stolen goods to active fencing operations in the metro area.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office regularly conducts these retail crime missions to reduce retail theft in our community. This mission's success would not have been possible without the partnerships with the participating retailers and our law enforcement partners at Milwaukie Police Department, the Oregon Department of Justice, and the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office.
