Sheriff’s Office requests independent investigation after review of use of force incident at Jail; formal charges filed

On Thursday, April 11, 2024, Jeanamarie Fisher was arraigned in Clackamas County Circuit on charges of Official Misconduct and Harassment. The charges stem from a standard review following a use of force by Fisher on an adult in custody at Clackamas County Jail on July 27, 2023.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oregon State Police conduct an independent criminal investigation and notified the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office in accordance with Sheriff’s Office policy. Fisher, who is employed as a Jail Deputy, was immediately placed on paid administrative leave.

At the conclusion of their investigation, the Oregon State Police referred the case to the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office who filed formal charges.
