On November 30, 2023, Brandon Gilpin was sentenced to 80 months in prison for his actions in the February 14, 2023, officer involved shooting in Wilsonville. Gilpin received 60 months for Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a firearms enhancement and an additional 20 months for Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle.
In September, Felisha Marie Cunningham was sentenced to 150 months in prison on two counts of Attempted Murder in the first degree.
The charges stem from February 14, 2023, when Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to stop Cunningham and Gilpin in a stolen 2006 Lincoln Town Car. They attempted to flee, however, deputies were able to stop the vehicle at Southwest Wilsonville Road and Southwest Town Center Loop East.
After the vehicle stopped, Cunningham opened fire on deputies and deputies returned fire. Deputies immediately began lifesaving measures and rendered aid until paramedics with TVFR arrived. Both Cunningham and Gilpin were transported by ambulance to a local hospital and later released. None of the deputies were injured.
A grand jury later found the deputies’ use of force was justified.
The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Milwaukie Police Department and the Oregon State Police for leading the investigation and the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office for the successful prosecutions.
