Sheriff’s Office Investigates Threat to Clackamas High School

Date

Shortly after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office responded to an anonymous social media post referencing a bomb threat to Clackamas High School. Investigators were able to identify the source of the threat and determine it came from two students from another area high school. The threat was found not to be credible. Both of the students have been taken into custody and transported to the Clackamas County Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center on charges of Disorderly Conduct in the First Degree and Harassment.

The Sheriff's Office is working closely with the North Clackamas School District to investigate this matter and believes this is an isolated incident.

Clackamas High School and nearby Rock Creek Middle School notified parents and families that both schools were temporarily evacuated out of an abundance of caution. Both buildings were re-opened to students around 10:30 a.m.

The Sheriff’s Office believes there is no outstanding threat to Clackamas High School.
