As a County, we must ensure the people of Clackamas County their hard-earned tax dollars are used responsibly. As I mentioned yesterday, during my testimony before the Clackamas County Budget Committee, I welcome a financial audit.
Not only do I welcome an audit, I am calling for a full, comprehensive financial audit of my Office and the County’s finances to be performed by a mutually agreed upon firm that has not conducted business with either the Sheriff’s Office or the County. This is necessary to ensure transparency and accountability to our taxpayers.
I took an Oath to uphold the law and protect and serve you. My oath means to me that I will use your tax dollars responsibly so my office can provide the services you expect and deserve.
