NEWS RELEASE: Deputy Identified in Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Deputy Involved Shooting

For information regarding the Portland Police Bureau, Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Deputy Involved Shooting Investigation: https://www.portlandoregon.gov/police/news/read.cfm?id=392146

The Deputy involved is: Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Deputy David Fooladjoush, employed since December 2016.

Deputy Fooladjoush is on paid administrative leave as is standard in an officer involved shooting.

Because the deputy involved shooting occurred in the City of Portland, the Portland Police Homicide Unit responded and is investigating, in coordination with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office, and the Multnomah County Medical Examiner.

This is still an active investigation, and any questions regarding the investigation should be referred to PPB.
