The FBI recently thanked our Clackamas County Inter-Agency Task Force (CCITF) for its help arresting a dangerous suspect wanted for murder in Sacramento, CA.
Last November, the FBI's Portland office received information from the FBI's Sacramento office and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) that fugitive Inez Kakar Savala was believed to be in Clackamas County.
Kakar Savala – 20, of Sacramento, CA -- is a suspect in the Nov. 1, 2020 murder of her then-boyfriend Jeremiah Zabala in Sacramento County.
SCSO had developed evidence to charge her with homicide; authorities believe she then fled to Oregon.
CCITF task-force members spent a few days looking for Kakar Savala, surveilling suspected locations and conducting interviews. They successfully located Kakar Savala in Clackamas on Nov. 22, 2020, and she was taken into custody without incident. She was booked at the Clackamas County Jail (photo attached) and later extradited to Sacramento County.
CCITF investigators also completed search warrants and obtained valuable evidence to help Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office detectives with their case.
In a commendation letter, the FBI thanked the Sheriff’s Office and CCITF for their efforts -- praising the collaboration between the Clackamas and Sacramento County Sheriff’s Offices and the Bureau that led to this successful capture.
