The first meeting of Clackamas County’s Concord Property / Library Planning Task Force is scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5. The meeting will be held in the Concord School Building at 3811 SE Concord Road in Oak Grove.

The public is welcome to attend. More details, including the meeting agenda, are online at www.clackamas.us/libraryplan.

The Task Force was appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to advise the board and the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) Board on the future use of the Concord Property.

In March 2018, NCPRD took ownership of Concord Elementary School in Oak Grove as part of the Strategic Partnership with North Clackamas School District. The Concord School was acquired to revitalize the vacant building and surrounding open space for public use.

As the new owner of the property, NCPRD is dedicated to seeing the former school used to create new community spaces, amenities and recreational opportunities for district residents. Although there are no predetermined uses for the Concord property, the task force will be exploring many possibilities for the site, including a community center, park, library and NCPRD administration offices.
