There will be occasional lane closures and delays at the intersection of Highway 224 and Springwater Road in Carver from Nov. 26 through Dec. 14 as workers from Portland General Electric (PGE) work on utilities.

Utility work and related tasks to prepare for installation of a traffic signal will take place nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Mondays through Thursdays; and from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., Fridays through Sundays. There may also be daytime lane closures between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays and between 7 a.m. and noon on weekends.

All lane closures will be controlled by flaggers. Travelers are urged to drive slowly through the construction site.

New traffic signals are expected to be installed by the end of 2018, and north and south bridge approaches to the Carver Bridge are scheduled to be completed in spring 2019.
