Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking interested residents to serve on county Advisory Boards and Commissions (ABCs). These ABCs offer residents the opportunity to become very involved in specific activities and the goals of Clackamas County.
New ABC openings from the past week include:
Forest Advisory Board: This seven-member board has two openings each of which carries a 3-year term. This board actively participates in providing technical guidance to the Forest Management program staff in forest management and harvest activities, timber land sales and purchases, and stand improvement activities, along with review of public input related to proposed activities.
Applicants for this board must be residents of Clackamas County, and be foresters or persons that have professional forestry experience in the forest industry, forest consulting or governmental employment, or have a professional forestry education, and should have working knowledge of the Oregon Forest Practices Act. In order to provide for balance and representation, this board is seeking applicants from diverse backgrounds including government, private industry, consulting forestry, forestry education and small woodland management.
